HARROGATE, Tenn. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (6-2, 1-2 SAC) was defeated by Lincoln Memorial (4-4, 1-2 SAC) by a score of 94-80 Wednesday night on the road.
The Lions trailed by just one at the end of the first half, 39-38. Alejandro Ford led all players with 15 points, going 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Keenan Wilkins added 10 points. The quintet of Christian Foy, Aljaz Vidmar, Jaheim Taylor, Carson Evans, and Marvin Hires each pulled down three rebounds.
In the second half, the Railsplitters hit 54 percent of their shots as the tandem of Armon Jarrard and Walter Campbell each scored 14 points. Campbell led the team with six rebounds in the half.
Foy and Ashton Troutman led the Lions with nine points apiece. Troutman also led the team with five rebounds. Foy, Wilkins, Taylor, and Hires each collected two assists.
The Lions return home on Saturday, December 13 when they host Coker. Tipoff inside Chambers Gymnasium is set for 4 p.m.
