SALISBURY, N.C. - The Mars Hill men's basketball team (9-17, 3-17 SAC) was defeated by Catawba (19-7, 14-6 SAC) by a score of 105-66 Saturday afternoon on the road.
A balanced scoring attack from the Catawba Indians propelled them to victory, led by Jordan Simpson's 18 points. Ibra Athie added 16 points while Justin Banks led the team with 10 rebounds.
Jaheim Taylor led the Lions with 17 points, followed by 11 from Keenan Wilkins. Ashton Troutman added 10 points and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds for the double-double.
Mars Hill returns to the court on Wednesday, February 25 when they face Carson-Newman on the road. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
