Former pitcher Hall signs with Tampa Bay
MARS HILL, N.C. - Justin Hall signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Rays. He has been assigned to the Gulf Coast League Rays in Port Charlotte, Fla.
Hall career numbers at MHC included a 21-10 record on the mound, 236 innings pitched, 208 strikeouts, 10 complete games, three shutouts and a 4.23 career ERA. In his last two seasons Hall was 12-4 on the mound and had an ERA under 3.89 both seasons.
Hall stated, "I have had this dream since I was a little kid to get the opportunity to play baseball at the professional level. It is a big relief to know that all the hard work has paid off, but the work I have put in was just the beginning, now the true work begins."
In 2010, Hall helped lead MHC to a second place finish in the SAC and runner-up in the SAC Tournament.
