Bueker Named All-Region
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Michael Bueker has been named a second team Daktronics All-Southeast Region selection. The Daktronics All-America programs honor student-athletes in Division II athletic programs. The voting, nomination and calculations are all conducted by the sports information directors.
Bueker, a 5-10, 165-pound junior shortstop, is from Cooper City, Fla. At the conclusion of the Lions' season, Buker led the nation in hits (87), led the SAC in batting average (.414), ranked in top 50 in nation in batting average, led the SAC in hits (87) and stolen bases (20-of-23), was 25th in nation in stolen bases (20-of-23), second in the SAC in runs scored (54), and eighth in the SAC in on-base percentage. For the season he recorded seven doubles, two triples, a homerun and posted a .920 fielding percentage.
