Bueker named to NCBWA All-Region second team
WILSON, N.C. - Mars Hill's Michael Bueker was named to the 2011 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Southeast Region second team. awards
Earlier this month, Bueker was named to the Daktronics All-Southeast Region second team and All-South Atlantic Conference first team. At the conclusion of the Lions' season, he led the nation in hits (87), led the SAC in batting average (.414), ranked in the top 50 in nation in batting average, led the SAC in hits (87) and stolen bases (20-of-23), was 25th in the nation in stolen bases (20-of-23), second in the SAC in runs scored (54), and eighth in the SAC in on-base percentage. For the season, Bueker recorded seven doubles, two triples, a homerun and posted a .920 fielding percentage.
